Donatello made two statues of “David”, one in marble and one in bronze.
On this tour you will see and learn not only about Michelangelo’s “David”, but also about the two by Donatello and another “David” made by Andrea del Verrocchio, the Master of Leonardo da Vinci.
We will visit two museums, the Accademia Museum and the Bargello Museum, so you will see four statues of David, made by magnificent artists like Michelangelo, Donatello and Andrea del Verrocchio. The BARGELLO Museum is one of the oldest public buildings in Florence, now a fantastic sculpture museum with masterpieces by Donatello, Michelangelo, Cellini and Bernini.
