The Uffizi Gallery is one of the world’s top museums and is a must-see when you are in Florence. My classic Uffizi tour lasts three hours, and will take you on a journey through italian art from 1280 till 1665.
This incredible collection is housed in a building which was not built as a museum, so when you visit the Uffizi Gallery, you also visit a historic building built in 1560 for Cosimo I from the Medici Family.
Put on some comfortable shoes and be ready for one of the most beautiful art collections in the world.
I always recommend the CLASSIC UFFIZI TOUR, but if you’re short of time and still want to see the topmost paintings, I have designed a shorter tour (number two)
If – on the other hand – you have time enough and would like to see more of the Uffizi collection, you can choose Tour number three.
1) CLASSIC UFFIZI TOUR
On this tour you will see paintings by Giotto, Filippo Lippi, Domenico Ghirlandaio, Leonardo da Vinci, Michelangelo, Raphael, Caravaggio and many others.
The tour lasts three hours.
2) SHORT UFFIZI TOUR
This tour will focus on the Renaissance paintings, so we will go directly up to the “Big names” (Botticelli, Leonardo da Vinci, Michelangelo, Raphael)
We will finish at the Uffizi café, where you can either stop for a coffee break before leaving, or you can take the elevator directly down to the exit.
The tour will take two hours and covers the top floor collection.
3) GRAND UFFIZI TOUR
This tour covers more and will go deeper into art aspects. Including is also the interesting collection of artistic self-portraits, which used to be in the Vasarian Corridor, but moved to new rooms in the Gallery in 2023
This tour will take 4 hours.
