Chianti is divided into many subareas and Chianti Rufina is not as known around the world as others such as Chianti Classico or Chianti Colli Senesi. That’s a shame! The area is close to Florence and some of the wealthy noble families which can be traced back to the Renaissance still have estates out here where they stay during the hot summers and where they still produce wines and extra virgin olive oils.
We will visit one of these historical estates, see the wine cellars and have a wine-tasting.
The tour is an afternoon tour and will take 4 hours.
You will be back in Florence for dinner.
