The Oltrarno is the area on the other side of the Arno river known for its many artisans and great restaurants.
In the Oltrarno neighbourhood is a church that holds an almost unknown work by Michelangelo among tourists, and even among Florentines themselves.
On this tour you will see and learn about this work, and we will also look into who influenced him. We will visit a chapel painted by a Renaissance painter who highly inspired him.
At this same chapel, he got into a fight with another artist, Pietro Torrigiani, who after this episode was known as the ‘Man who broke Michelangelo’s Nose’.
This tour will take 3 hours.
