My dear nephew, I have received
the 43 fiaschi of Trebbiano and I thank you
Michelangelo wrote this in a letter to his nephew Leonardo in Florence on 27th June 1562, when he was 87 years old!
Trebbiano is a Tuscan white grape, and of course Michelangelo wanted to have Tuscan wine sent to him when living in Rome. Tuscan wines have always been – and still are – the best!!
This tour is a combination of art and wine.
On the first part of the tour, you will see and learn about “David” and after the art part of the tour, we will go to a local wine bar, where we will taste three different Tuscan wines and have some salami and cheese to go with the wine.
The tour takes 3.5 hours.
